Italian Florentine box with Old World map. The vintage gold leafed box has a map of the Old World decoupaged on the top with a scraffito etched pattern around the map. There is also an etched scraffito pattern of leaves and around the the rim of the top of the box and another pattern along the base of the box. The gold is in very nice condition with no apparent loss and the map is intact and in good condition. It is a beautiful box and would be a lovely accent on a chest or desk.
