Antique silver plate candlestick holders. Pair of quadruple plate Wilcox Silver Plate Company Adams style candlesticks. Both pairs of candlesticks were produced by the Wilcox Silver Plate Company in the late 1800's to early 1900's. Each candlestick is marked Quadruple Plate with Wilcox Silver Plate Co and two hammers in a circle and MERIDEN CONN.
All four candlesticks are in very nice condition with no loss of silver and minor wear commensurate with age and use. Please look at photos.

The Wilcox Silver Plate Company began in 1865 under the name Wilcox Britannia Company in Meriden, Connecticut. In 1867 the name was changed to Wilcox Silver Plate Company. In 1898 it was one of the first original companies to become part of International Silver Company.
Quadruple plated items were of higher quality than the triple plate and were made in the late 19th century.
