Haviland Limoges Tureen. Large French antique Limoges tureen by Haviland. The white tureen has hand painted soft blue and light gray flowers flowing around the tureen and on the lid. The handles on the sides and the lid have a checkered gold design. There is a little gold loss on the handles. The Haviland hallmark of CFH over GDM in green indicates the tureen dates between 1882 - 1891. There is also a decorator mark in a black circle with words CH Field Haviland Limoges. This was first used in 1862.
This is a lovely tureen in very nice condition especially to be over 100 years old. Not only is it a functional piece but also would be a lovely container for a floral arrangement.
