Sterling Silver Top Powder Jar. Vintage Gorham Sterling silver and cut glass vanity dresser or powder jar. The cut glass jar has an early Art Deco laurel design with a cut floral design that appears to be a Lily of the Valley. The jar is in lovely condition with no chips or cracks.
The sterling silver top is a Gorham top with the hallmark Gorham sterling 2 3. It has a lovely floral and scroll repousse' pattern with a plain center cartouche. There is a small ding in the center cartouche as well as a couple of pinpoint dings along the rim of the lid. The image in the photo shows the reflection of my chandelier.
This is a very nice size powder or dresser jar. It measures approximately 4.25 inches in width. The height with the lid is approximately 2.25 inches.
