A very nice cedar dovetailed box. The box has a curved serpentine front with a brass latch and what appears to be an image of a vase of flowers on the top with a floral design around the image. It is original to the box because it has the stain and varnish over the image.
The inside of the box is very clean and could be used for jewelry or storage of small items.
It also would be a very nice accent piece for a bookcase or chest.
