Blue White English Dinner Plate, W R Midwinter 10 Inch Plate, Blue Floral Pattern, Chinoiserie Wall Decor, Each Plate Sold Separately

A lovely blue and white English ironstone dinner plate. The 10 inch plate was produced by the English pottery company W R Midwinter between 1910 - 1932 according the maker's mark on the back. The blue and white floral pattern similar to an Asiatic Chinoiserie pattern with lotus blossoms around the rim and as a center medallion. The plate also has blue and white geometric patterns on the rim and center outlining the medallion.
The back of the plate has the maker's mark Windsor, W R Midwinter, Porcelon, Burslem England in a blue backstamp. The mark dates the plate before 1932. After 1932 Ltd. was used in the mark. The word Porcelon was included in most of the stamps. The company was founded by the maker's name, William Robinson Midwinter in 1910 in Bournes Bank, Burslem. Burslem is a small town or within the borough of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
