Large Silver Plate Butler's Tray, Vintage Mid Century Footed Serving Tray, Butler's Barware Tray, Rustic Cottage Farmhouse 24 Inch Tray

A large vintage silver plate butler's tray. The tray is footed and has handles. It measures 30 inches from handle to handle. The actual part of the tray is 24 inches. It is a large heavy tray and was made by Sheffield Silver Company.
The Sheffield Silver Company was incorporated in 1908 and in 1974 became part of Reed and Barton. The trademark Sheffield Silver Company was registered in 1918. The first mark was Sheffield Silver Company, Made in USA. This is the mark that is on this particular tray.
The tray does have wear on the tray with some loss of silver. The scroll work on the handles and around the border has darkened where some of the silver has worn. The wear does not bother me, and makes it a wonderful tray for a rustic, cottage farmhouse look.
