Antique Silver Creamer and Sugar, Aesthetic Movement Silver Plate 1860's Creamer Sugar, Decorative Silver Plate, French Cottage Decor

An Aesthetic Movement silver plate creamer and sugar set. The antique silver plate set was produced by Wm Rogers Mfg Co. Hartford Conn. The maker's mark dates the set from 1865- 1880 the beginning to the height of the Aesthetic Movement. Both pieces are marked Wm.Rogers Mfg.Com and marked Hartford Connecticut quadruple plate. The silver however has worn off over the years in both pieces.
I love the design with the sugar being an open sugar. It could also have been a spoon holder with 2 handles. it would make a great holder for makeup brushes or a small decorative vase.
The sugar could also double as a vase or make up holder.
The pattern is leaves with what appears to be morning glory flowers and a banded Eastern design around the neck of the sugar and creamer. The creamer also has an small Asian design of sail boats within the circular medallion on one side. The sugar has Asian houses inside the circular medallion on one side. I think the reason it was only on one side is because often these pieces would be monogrammed in the circular part on one side.
